Excellence in Leadership: CRN Recognizes Alex Page Among Its 2025 Channel Chiefs

For the third consecutive year, Rapid7’s Alex Page has been honored as a CRN Channel Chief, a testament to his unwavering commitment to driving growth, fostering innovation, and strengthening our global channel partnerships. CRN’s annual Channel Chiefs list showcases the top leaders throughout the IT channel ecosystem who go above and beyond to ensure mutual success with their partners and customers. This recognition highlights Alex’s remarkable leadership as well as the significant strides his team has made in collaboration with Rapid7’s channel ecosystem.

A philosophy that drives success

Alex’s channel philosophy is simple, yet powerful: Focus matters. By identifying and investing in the partners who best align with Rapid7’s goals and have the ability to deliver exceptional customer success, Alex and his team ensure a meaningful and impactful collaboration. This focused approach has not only delivered outstanding mutual results, it has also deepened the appreciation and trust we share with our partners.

Innovating for the future

An example of an impactful initiative led by Alex and his team in 2024 was Rapid7’s partnership with Comcast. This collaboration combines the advanced SecOps technology of Rapid7’s Command Platform with 24/7 SOC capabilities to provide superior threat detection and prevention for Comcast’s small, medium, and large enterprise customers. Through this innovative partnership, we have expanded our partner ecosystem as well as set a new standard for delivering world-class security solutions.

Looking ahead to 2025

As the channel landscape evolves, Alex and his team — supported by the greater Rapid7 organization — are doubling down on three key areas in 2025:

  1. Relationship focused approach – By focusing on the partners who will solve our customers’ problems, and forming deep relationships with each of them, rather than aiming for a breadth of partners with shallow connections, we will jointly acquire more customers and enable their long-term success.
  2. A unified partner experience – Many of Rapid7’s partners don’t fit cleanly into a single bucket. They’re not just a channel partner or just a service provider; they are many things to their customers. In 2025 and beyond, partners will be able to engage with Rapid7 and their customers in a variety of ways.
  3. Technical enablement and specialization – Partners are making it clear that they need to empower their technical resources more than ever before to meet the evolving security needs of their customers. By prioritizing technical enablement and helping our partners specialize in the many capabilities where Rapid7 technologies lead the market, we will ultimately drive even higher rates of customer satisfaction together, which leads to positive business outcomes for the customer, the partner, and Rapid7.

Rapid7 Recognized with Top Score of 100 in 2025 Corporate Equality Index

On January 7, the Human Rights Campaign Foundation released their 2025 Corporate Equality Index (CEI), where Rapid7 earned a top score of 100.

The CEI is the nation’s leading benchmark for LGBTQ+ workforce equality, evaluating policies and practices in areas such as non-discrimination, equitable benefits, inclusive cultures, and corporate social responsibility. With this score, Rapid7 is recognized as a leader in LGBTQ+ Workplace Inclusion.

This recognition reflects Rapid7’s core value; and our commitment to creating a dynamic workplace where all people can build a rewarding career. Our core value  ‘Bring You’ is an invitation for everyone to embrace their uniqueness and bring their true selves to the workplace. We know that fostering a culture of inclusion enables people to be more creative and generate innovative ideas - essential skills when working in the field of cybersecurity. Additionally, we recognize that our work in this space is truly ‘Never Done’. We continuously evaluate, optimize, and seek feedback on programs and practices that support diversity, equity, and inclusion across the business. We’re proud of this recognition, and will continue to work towards building and maintaining a workplace where all people have access to the tools, resources, and communities that enable them to feel seen and valued, so they can make an incredible impact through their work.

In consideration for this recognition, the CEI examined Rapid7’s practices and policies against four core pillars:

• Non-discrimination policies across business entities

• Equitable benefits for LGBTQ+ workers and their families

• Supporting an inclusive culture; and,

• Corporate social responsibility

“HRC Equality Index recognition reflects a gold standard, one that ensures employees—regardless of their lived experience—have equitable access to benefits and are treated inclusively. We alignwith the HRC Equality Index standard, as we believe it fosters an environment that enables employees to bring their authentic selves to work. By cultivating an environment that nutures this dynamic, we empower our people to perform at their best and contribute meaningfully to the success of our business.

Additionally, achieving recognition on the HRC Equality Index underscores our broader commitment to being an employer who strives to reflect the global community we seek to secure. This milestone also highlights how essential equity is to our mission. Equity is a key part of the equation, and it is vital that we never lose sight of its importance.

I am incredibly proud that we are included on the index this year. This achievement reflects our ongoing commitment to fostering innovation, belonging, and excellence in all that we do.”

In addition to offering equitable benefits, Rapid7’s employee resource groups provide opportunities for people to come together around shared experiences. The Pride community provides space for LGBTQ+ employees and their allies to raise visibility and provide support through various virtual and in-office events. These initiatives include hosting external speakers, facilitating open discussions, and organizing celebrations.

Rapid7 Recognized for ‘Excellence in Workplace Health and Wellbeing’ at the Belfast Telegraph IT Awards

On Friday, November 15th, Rapid7 was awarded ‘Excellence in Workplace Health and Wellbeing’ at the Belfast Telegraph IT Awards. This award recognizes technology companies in Belfast that prioritize employee well-being.

At Rapid7, we believe that the best ideas and solutions come from diverse, multi-faceted teams. By supporting our people with programs that enhance their well-being and quality of life, we create an environment where they can continue to have rewarding career experiences and make an incredible impact on our business. Our programs go beyond just taking care of people when they are sick. Instead, we look to increase their overall quality of life with unique initiatives and offerings that support both physical and mental health and wellness.

Our award submission was broken down into three key areas where we offer unique benefits that make us leaders in our field. These areas included benefit offerings, physical health and well-being, and mental health and well-being.

Benefit Offerings

Rapid7 is proud to offer unique and competitive benefits to employees and their families. One example is our neurodiversity coverage. Employees at Rapid7, and their family members, have access to specialists for evaluations, screenings, and treatment programs. Appointments and services that would otherwise take months or years are able to happen within weeks.

As part of our health benefit program, once a year, our company participates in a global health and well-being challenge. This is not your typical ‘steps’ challenge, but instead a comprehensive initiative encompassing physical activity, meditation, and mindfulness, designed to build connections across Rapid7 teams.

Physical health and well-being

Our cycle-to-work scheme allows employees to set aside a salary sacrifice to purchase a new bicycle. There is no maximum limit so our employees are often able to select high-end models at an affordable rate. Employees drop in and out of the program as they wish, and this year we have 16 employees saving up to get their new bikes.

For those who prefer a gym or fitness classes, our Chichester street office building is equipped with a full service gym featuring cardio and weight training equipment, as well as a yoga and group fitness studio. The fitness studio has a variety of virtual program on demand, many of which can be completed in just 20 minutes, making it easy for employees to fit in a quick break during their day.

Mental health and wellbeing

AwareNI is a local organization that we’ve been proud to partner with. We participate in their mood matters program, bringing mental health awareness and training to employees across Rapid7. However, what is most unique is our on-site mental health first aiders. We partner with AwareNI to train employees to be on-site mental health first aiders, giving employees a resource in the office to go to if they are experiencing a mental health crisis. As mental health first aiders, these employees are equipped with the skills and knowledge to guide and support colleagues experiencing a mental health-related crisis.

At Rapid7, we are on a mission to create a secure digital world for our customers, our industry, and our communities. We show up every day to keep our 11,000+ customers around the world protected from the latest threats. This requires us to build a dynamic workplace where innovation and collaboration thrive. Taking care of our people is a critical first step, and we’re honored to have been recognized as a leader in this space. To learn more, please visit our careers site at careers.rapid7.com.

Celebrating Excellence: Rapid7 Recognized in Newsweek's Greatest Workplaces in America 2024

In a testament to its commitment to fostering an exceptional workplace environment, Rapid7 is proud to be included in Newsweek's Greatest Workplaces in America for 2024. This recognition not only underscores Rapid7's dedication to its people, but also cements its standing among companies that invest in employee satisfaction and well-being as a critical component of business success.

The Importance of Employee Engagement in the Workplace

Employee engagement in the workplace is linked to higher levels of productivity and positive business outcomes. According to Gallup's State of the Global Workplace: 2023 Report, employees who are not engaged, or those who are actively disengaged, could cost the world $8.8 trillion in lost productivity.

Rapid7 understands this connection, and is intentional in providing a workplace where employees can do their best work while feeling valued and supported. Christina Luconi, Chief People Officer at the firm, states “As a business, we are relentlessly in pursuit of delivering the best possible outcomes for our customers and the cybersecurity community we are a part of. In order to do that, we need people who are prepared to challenge convention, offer constructive feedback, and work collaboratively to drive impact. We make sure this is possible by providing a work environment that offers flexibility, great teaming experiences, opportunities to grow and learn new skills, and a shared commitment to Rapid7’s mission and vision.”

America’s Greatest Workplaces: Award Criteria

More than 250,000 U.S. employees were interviewed for the ranking, resulting in over 1.5 million company reviews spanning 78 individual sectors. The survey covered topics such as compensation and benefits, training and career progression, work-life balance and company culture. Also, post-survey research considered each ranked company's online mentions, diversity and inclusion ratings, and reviews of senior management.

How Rapid7 Supports Its Employees

Flexibility: Our default model is hybrid, with employees spending three days per week in the office. This flexibility aligns with our culture of collaboration and teamwork, and is designed to foster meaningful connections and trusting relationships.

Career Development: At Rapid7, we provide a platform for career development and growth. Through a combination of programs and hands-on experiences, employees have the ability to drive their career forward and own their development journey.

Collaboration: We encourage our people to seek out opportunities to learn about other teams and areas of the business. Collaboration is something that happens every day, whether we are gathering feedback and perspectives to get the best solution, or setting up an insight coffee to learn more about a person’s role. We encourage employees at all levels of the business to proactively find ways to partner, collaborate, and learn from one another.

Wellbeing and Benefits: Benefits vary by country, and in the United States, employees enjoy unlimited PTO, competitive paid leave options for new parents, mental health resources, access to financial advisers, and more. We also undergo an annual compensation analysis to ensure our pay practices are both competitive and equitable.

Looking Ahead

Being named one of Newsweek's Greatest Workplaces in America for 2024 is a significant achievement for Rapid7. Our commitment to fostering a positive and inclusive work environment remains unwavering, and we look forward to continuing to evolve our programs as  we expand our teams and tackle new challenges in cybersecurity.

USF College of Engineering Presents Rapid7 With 2024 Corporate Impact Award

This past Friday, April 19, the University of South Florida (USF) College of Engineering recognized individuals and organizations who have greatly impacted USF and beyond at its ninth annual Engineering Honors Awards at The Armature Works in Tampa. I had the honor of joining my colleagues, including Rapid7 CEO, Corey Thomas, who accepted the Corporate Impact Award on behalf of the company.

The Corporate Impact Award is among the highest and most prestigious recognitions given by the College of Engineering. It recognizes Rapid7’s significant contributions to the College and its students. Receiving this award is incredibly gratifying for the Rapid7 Labs team as well as the greater Rapid7 organization.

Rapid7 CEO Corey Thomas accepts the Corporate Impact Award from Dr. Sanjukta Bhanja, Executive Associate Dean of the USF College of Engineering.

In February 2023, the Rapid7 Cybersecurity Foundation invested in USF to create the Rapid7 Cyber Threat Intelligence Lab. Furthermore, Rapid7 is actively working with a multi-disciplinary team at USF to research and develop training to better educate students for taking SOC roles, funded by the National Science Foundation and the Office of Naval Research.

Equally important has been Rapid7’s enthusiasm for directly working with researchers, professors, and students. Our Open Data Initiative provides real-world data derived from internet scans and honeypot data. We support research into training future SOC professionals by exposing them to teams working to protect our networks. A significant number of our teammates in Rapid7’s Tampa office are graduates from University of South Florida, a trend we aim to continue.

The future of Rapid7 and USF is bright, especially with the recent announcement of the formation of the College of AI and Cybersecurity at University of South Florida.

Rapid7 would like to not only thank the USF College of Engineering for recognizing our efforts in supporting the College, but more importantly, we want to thank them for being a great partner in driving research in the cybersecurity field as well as working alongside us to train the next generation of professionals. The future of cybersecurity depends on helping today’s students gain the tools they need to be successful, an area where University of South Florida excels.

Celebrating Excellence: Alex Page Recognized As a CRN 2024 Channel Chief

Congratulations to Rapid7’s Vice President of Global Channel Sales, Alex Page, who is named among the newly-announced CRN 2024 Channel Chiefs!

Alex, who also received this prestigious accolade in 2023, has been recognized for his outstanding contributions and expertise in driving strategic initiatives and shaping the channel agenda for both Rapid7 and the wider partner community.

The Channel Chiefs list, released annually by CRN, showcases the top leaders throughout the IT channel ecosystem who work tirelessly to ensure mutual success with their partners and customers.

"These channel evangelists are dedicated to supporting solution providers and achieving growth by implementing robust partner programs and unique business strategies," said Jennifer Follett, VP, US Content, and Executive Editor, CRN, at The Channel Company.

"Their efforts are instrumental in helping partners bring essential solutions to market. The Channel Company is pleased to acknowledge these prominent channel leaders and looks forward to chronicling their achievements throughout the year."

Under Alex’s leadership, Rapid7 has matured its channel approach to create a win-win-win scenario for all parties — most importantly, the end customer. This includes an obsessive focus on “being easy to do business with" for both partners and customers, and empowering our partners to participate in the full customer journey with us.

In Alex’s words: “Focus matters. You cannot try to be all things to all people, in general – but this very much applies to the channel. Find the partners who best fit your goals as a company, and can help make your customers most successful, and go deep with a small group of them. Your focus will drive more results. Your focus will also be very much felt and appreciated by the partner.”

We are proud to have Alex leading the charge, and of this recognition, which reinforces Rapid7’s commitment to excellence, innovation, and strong partnerships.

Rapid7 Takes 2023 SC Awards for Vulnerability Management and Threat Detection

The highly respected SC Awards program, hosted by SC Media, recognizes the solutions, organizations, and people driving innovation and success in information security. Now in its 26th year, the SC Awards continue to grow and evolve.

Rapid7 is proud to announce we have received not one, but two prestigious SC Awards this year! InsightVM is the 2023 SC Award recipient for Best Vulnerability Management Solution and InsightIDR received the award in the brand new Best Threat Detection Technology category.

This year, SC’s panel of independent industry leaders, from sectors including healthcare, financial services, manufacturing, consulting, and education sorted through a record number of entries. Additionally, SC added several new award categories and several modified categories to the competition.

Why InsightVM was selected

InsightVM is a vulnerability management tool that provides visibility into an organization’s security program, enabling security teams to reduce attack surface and security risk. The tool helps manage and mature vulnerability management programs by identifying vulnerabilities, prioritizing remediation efforts, and tracking progress against key metrics.

SC Media says InsightVM was selected for its ability to support the entire vulnerability management lifecycle and enabling security teams to manage their program more effectively. SC also noted the solution’s integration with Project Sonar for external-facing asset and threat exposure monitoring, as well as its robust tagging system to prioritize critical assets for remediation. Finally, they noted that live dashboards, Remediation Projects, and Goals and SLAs ease collaboration with stakeholders.

InsightVM was designed to provide a shared view and common language needed to collaborate with traditionally siloed teams and drive impactful remediation. As a result, easy collaboration stands out to customers as well.

“We’ve got at least five different teams that have responsibility for their own systems,” said Nick Defoe, Director of Information Security, US Signal. “Using the dashboard interface, we’ve been able to build out the reporting for each individual team. Getting these disparate groups all into one platform where they can see what they need to do for vulnerability management has been critical to our success.”

Why InsightIDR was selected

InsightIDR, Rapid7’s cloud-native XDR and next-gen SIEM, offers unified and transformed security data to detect real attacks and provide high-context insights to stop threats early in the attack chain.

According to SC Media, InsightIDR was selected because it empowers teams to deliver sophisticated detection and response outcomes with greater efficiency and efficacy, wherever they are in their security journey. This tracks with customers, as well.

In a recent Techvalidate survey, 92% of Rapid7 customers reported that InsightIDR creates efficiency and scale, and it offers savings that make it an accessible and robust solution for diverse industries and teams.

"When I put Rapid7 in place my response time went from three to four hours to ten to fifteen minutes,” said Kerry LeBlanc, IT Security Engineer, Bioventus. “I see what it is and how to remediate it. Everything is right there. I can query the endpoint or get information and pull up different things on the user."

SC also noted InsightIDR’s “complete visibility, coverage, superior signal-to-noise, and smarter responses.” InsightIDR provides this complete visibility and coverage with a native endpoint agent, network sensors, collectors and APIs. Lightweight, software-based collection technology and integrations go beyond unifying data to correlate, attribute, and enrich diverse datasets into a single, harmonious picture — unlocking efficiency to give teams time back, ensure that they find real threats faster, and that they can respond quickly and completely.

Rapid7 offers free trials of both InsightVM and InsightIDR.

Rapid7 Belfast Recognized for “Company Connection” During COVID-19 Pandemic

Irish News has recognized Rapid7 in its Workplace and Employment Awards, where we’ve taken home the trophy for Best Company Connection. Reflecting on the past two years, this award recognizes the organization that best demonstrates how it has adapted its workplace well-being strategy to the challenges of remote working influenced by the COVID-19 pandemic. Specifically, this includes how the company has remained committed to providing excellent support to its staff throughout, and maintaining contact and connection with workers during periods of uncertainty and isolation.

Rapid7 Belfast Recognized for “Company Connection” During COVID-19 Pandemic

Rapid7 has been part of Belfast’s booming technology scene since 2014 and is home to a growing team of engineers, developers, and customer advisors. From 2020 to 2022, the office population nearly doubled in size to support the increasing demand from customers around the world for streamlined and accessible cybersecurity solutions. Maintaining Rapid7’s commitment to the core values of “Be an Advocate,” “Never Done,” “Impact Together,” “Challenge Convention,” and “Bring You” was a critical focal point for our local leadership as they scaled their teams in the midst of an unprecedented global pandemic.

The judges were very impressed by Rapid7's holistic response to this new way of working, and how the company recognised the importance of maintaining contact, culture, and connection during such unprecedented times. Programs that stood out included leadership engagement through weekly Town Halls, engagement with mental well-being experts, and several grassroots community initiatives, including an Academy group designed to support parents in homeschooling their children.

In addition to taking home the winning title, Rapid7 was also recognised as a finalist in two other categories this year: Best People Development Programme and Best Place to Work.
