The U.K. delayed its AI bill that aims to regulate AI technology and address potential risks by allowing the AI Security Institute to test large language models, the Guardian reports. According to the report, Ministers have delayed the plans as the U.K. government seeks to align itself with the Trump administration on AI. After Apple withdrew full end-to-end encryption in the U.K. for iCloud, the FBI is jumping on the new precedent to demand "lawful access" to any encrypted user data, Forbes reports. Meanwhile, encrypted messaging app Signal claimed it will remove its services from Sweden if the government passes proposed legislation to require the company to install backdoors to allow law enforcement to access user data.
